Vendetta on Xenophobia
Vancouver is a city growing rapidly before our eyes, with this growth, there is culture, there is language, there are unique perspectives from a developing diaspora and most importantly there is history.
VOX is an Open Mic Forum that we hope to host on a monthly basis giving a platform for emerging artists who have the passion to share their craft under no judgement x discrimination. WE WANT YOUR VOICE TO BE HEARD!
Sankofa's main goal is to encourage people to look within, embracing their roots in order to build our community ethicallly + harmoniously through a series of cultural interactions.
We are open to other languages, dialects and vibrations. Where do you go to hear a First Nations rapper spit bars? Where can we hear poems in Farsi accompanied by acoustic guitars, or a legendary Haiku in traditional costume?
Call your friends, come fill the room. We hope that this can become a thing soon.
